Projects we take on

Larger projects, less upheaval at home.

We focus on extensions, loft conversions and complete refurbishments. On an extension or loft, most of the work happens outside the house and we connect the new space at the end.

  • Extensions

More room to cook, eat and live. We build most of an extension from outside, then open up and connect it to the house at the end.

  • Loft conversions

A new bedroom, bathroom or office in the roof. Most of the work happens from outside, and the new floor is connected to the house at the end.

  • Renovations & construction

Complete refurbishments of houses and flats, and conversions such as a house converted for multiple occupancy.

Every trade the job needs

One builder for the whole job, structure to finish.

Kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing, heating and electrics are part of most of our projects, so you do not have to find and coordinate separate trades.

  • Kitchens

Planning, fitting, plumbing and electrics for a new kitchen, often inside a new extension.

  • Bathrooms

Bathrooms and en-suites, including new ones in a loft conversion.

  • Plumbing & heating

New boilers, heating and hot water as part of the project. Mirion is Gas Safe registered.

  • Design

Drawings and design through the architects and engineers we work with.

  • Electrics

New wiring, sockets and lighting, planned with the rest of the work.

“He came in, had a look, and soon submitted a pricing. The crew was pleasant to deal with and professional. Miri is a straight shooter who tells it like it is, and he is great at coordinating and monitoring the entire project!”

Laura ORenovation, London

“I’d never done any kind of renovation before, so entirely renovating a two-bedroom flat was intimidating. … Everything was completed on time, on budget, and with clear communication throughout.”

How a project runs

Know what happens next.
Then make a clear start.

Every project starts with a conversation about the property and what you want to change.

Start a conversation
  1. 01

    Visit and scope

We look at the property and talk through what you want to change. If you need drawings, we work with architects and engineers who can prepare them.

  2. 02

    Approvals, price and contract

We talk through the planning and Building Regulations approvals the work is likely to need. You get a written quote and a written contract before work starts.

  3. 03

    Build

We manage the structure, plumbing, heating, electrics, kitchens and bathrooms through to the finishes. On extensions and lofts, the new space is connected to the house at the end.

  4. 04

    Handover and warranty

We finish the details and hand the work over. Extensions and loft conversions come with a 10-year warranty from Mirion.

Reasons to feel more certain.

Questions homeowners ask

Answers before you get in touch.

Still unsure? Call 07916 160893 or send a few details.

What kind of projects do you take on?

Mainly larger projects: home extensions, loft conversions and complete refurbishments, including conversions such as a house converted for multiple occupancy. Kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing and heating and electrics are usually part of those projects. We also offer surveys, design, driveways and property consultations: see all services.

Do you take on small jobs?

Our focus is larger projects. For a small standalone job, such as a boiler repair, we usually put you in touch with one of the partners we work with.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Wembley and work across North and West London. Areas we have worked in include Hampstead, Highgate, Muswell Hill, St John's Wood, Maida Vale, Notting Hill, Kensington, Chiswick, Richmond and Kew, as well as Ealing, Barnet, Harrow, Brent and Hillingdon. If you are not sure whether your property is close enough, include the postcode when you get in touch.

How disruptive is an extension or loft conversion?

Most of the work on an extension or loft conversion is done from outside the existing house. We open up and connect the new space towards the end, so the disruption inside your home is kept as short as possible. We talk through what to expect before work starts.

Do you provide a written contract, insurance and a warranty?

Yes. Every project has a written contract. We usually use our own, and can use the Federation of Master Builders' domestic building contract if you prefer. We are fully insured, including public liability insurance, and extensions and loft conversions come with a 10-year warranty from Mirion.

Do I need drawings or a finished brief before I get in touch?

No. A few lines about the property and what you want to change is enough to start. If you already have drawings, planning permission or a survey, include them: they help us price the work. If you need drawings, we work with architects and engineers who can prepare them.

How much will my project cost?

It depends on the size and scope of the work, the condition of the property, design and material choices, access and any approvals needed. We talk through the scope before pricing the work, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all figure.

Will I need planning permission?

It depends on the property and what you want to build. Some extensions and loft conversions can go ahead under permitted development rights; others need planning permission, for example in a conservation area. Building Regulations approval is usually needed as well. We talk through the approvals your project is likely to need, and the Planning Portal explains the national rules.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

We read what you have sent in context and look at the work you are describing. Then we agree the next step with you: that might be a call, a survey or a clearer scope for the work. If it is easier to talk, call 07916 160893.
